I have made some decent part-time income from blogging in last year. They are mainly from PayPerPost.com but now it is getting more difficult to grab opportunities after the PR (Page Ranking) was slashed by Google. I am contented that prior to that, I have made more than USD5,000 by blogging at its peak for just slightly over a year. Then came Adsense which I put into 4 of my blogs and I have withdrawn money from Western Union as well for the first time this January 2008. It has been my endeavor to continue learning how to earn money by blogging and there is a very interesting article written here from Problogger.net. I have taken Loans a few times in my life. First, as a student in the varsity, I took the study loan from OCBC bank which I have fully paid back many years ago. Now I am taking a loan for my new car bought on Valentine’s day 14th February 2007. Each month I am paying about RM632 to be completed in 7 years time. When I bought my new condominium in Birch Regency, I have yet to compare loans from different banks because HSBC seems to offer many features that the local banks don’t offer like paying back the loan online and even when you work in other countries, you can still pay off your personal loans.

Today, I am supposed to get a call from my loan officer to know whether the secured loans has been approved. I hope my loan will be approved soon so that my boyfriend can start paying off 70% of the loan amount that I plan to take. Hopefully, the loan will be completely paid in 15 years time.

As I have paid RM5,000 deposit for a condominium, I am now sourcing to get Personal Loans to pay the rest for the condo. I will pay about 30% of the total amount of RM281,000 which is RM84,300 in a check from my bank account. The rest of 70% will be paid by installments over several years. The condominium will solely be under my name and I plan to use it for investment purposes and for weekend getaway with my boyfriend. Which just reminds me, I am still on the lookout for good property to buy for investment. Just the other day, I went to view a unit in Gurney Park for RM320k for only 700+ square feet. It is very small but convenient and next to Gurney Plaza. Gurney Park is the cheapest home along Gurney Drive which is the millionaires’ row along the beach front. Though I have seen the unit, I was not impressed with the furnishings and the master bedroom floor has so much scratches that they look ugly. I am not prepared to pay that kind of hard earned money for such a small unit for my retirement home.
