I just came back from a one night stay in Penang’s City Bayview Hotel. Last night at around 12:00am, I saw huge colorful fireworks display not far from the hotel. There was a police road block just below my hotel room. The hotel room rate is around RM187 per night with breakfast for two. It is reasonable and I got a good view of the fireworks at night. Took some snapshots but it needs a more powerful lens to have a good photo of the fireworks. The breakfast was normal with the nasi lemak (rice in coconut gravy), anchovies, peanuts, tim sum, baked beans, egg omelette, toast, muffins, miso soup, salad and fruits with orange juice, coffee or tea.
